Dear TN ASID Members,

We need your help to make Real World Design a Success.

This is national shadow program for students that allows them to shadow a designer or an Industry Partner for a day. We currently have twice as many students registered as we have professional, allied, and industry partner members. This is only one day of your life and it would mean a lot to the students to be able to participate. I urge you to go to the website and sign up if you haven’t already done so. Event to be held anytime during October 12th and October 31st.

Only 11 Tennessee members have signed up - I know we can do better than that.

Extended Registration

ASID has reopened registration for all members—both professionals and students—and registration will remain open through September 15th. We feel that scheduling an appointment (such as a shadow day) is commonplace 1-2 months in advance. In addition, as with any appointments in life, all program participants have the chance to reschedule their shadow day should conflicts arise. Rescheduling is far preferred to canceling.

How to Register

Online registration for professionals is easy and is a two-part process. Instructions are here and the registration site is http://rwdw.asid.org .

** We have recently discovered that several professionals thought they were completely registered, but only completed the first part of the online registration process.

National Marketing

ASID plans to continue with national marketing efforts, including electronic marketing to all eligible shadow day hosts (professional, allied and IP rep members) as well as targeted messaging and call campaigns to former student members who have advanced to Allied membership and are in years 1-3 of this membership segment (i.e. recent graduates).
