ASID membership is divided into two main categories: Individuals and Organizations. This structure highlights the way interior designers engage within the broader built environment ecosystem, creating a framework that supports accessibility, inclusivity, and diversity across the profession.
Any individual or organization with a strong professional and business reputation, who meets the qualifications outlined in the Society’s Policies and agrees to uphold the Bylaws and Code of Ethics, may be eligible for membership within one of ASID’s defined categories
Individuals who practice in the field of interior design. Levels include Professional, Allied, and Associate.
Individuals who are faculty or staff within a post-secondary interior design program.
Individuals actively enrolled as a student within a post-secondary interior design program.
Individuals that support the profession of interior design (other than Practitioner, Educator, or Student).
Any supplier of a product or service that supports the interior design profession and practice.
Any business with interior design as all or part of the company’s service offerings.
Any post-secondary, higher education institution including a university, college, or accredited school of interior design.
Any organization that supports the profession of interior design (other than Supplier, Firm, or Higher Education Institution).
